Lazy Saturday

Since I've started the big girl job, I've learned to covet my Saturdays. The last two have been absolutely splendid. Last week I spent the day reading Hunger games with Mallory, exploring the OC mixmart and buying plants with Natalie Stewart, then dinner with the lovely miss Duke. This Saturday, worked with some sweet kids for a couple of hours. Then began my introverted night.

I went thrift store shopping and found lots of useful things for the house as well as a new mirror--mine shattered to pieces on Thursday night. I began a reconstruction project in the garden making a couch into a planter. When it comes to gardening I have no idea what I am doing. It is all experimental for me. My mother has a green thumb and I on the other hand have a Grim Reaper thumb. I kill everything I touch. I am working on that. Another thing I am working on is not having a phobia of getting my hands dirty in fear of what I may discover in the dirt. I question my sanity in the endeavor, I have been known to not shower for a week at a time have dirt on my face from random travels, sleeping in tents and I'm afraid of the creepy crawly things in the dirt. Please, no judgement. I spent hour gutting the couch and cleaning up the yard and watering. The only downside. Of course, it rained that night. Story of my life.

The rest of my night, I spent cooking and cleaning. I did one more things but I am a little embarrassed to say it. Okay, here goes. My roommate left a DVD in the player and I was too lazy to change it, naturally. So I watched not one but an entire season of Laguna Beach. Right, who am I? I regret every minute of it. After said and done. I skyped with the boy for a little bit and then went to bed. Whenever I spend nights by myself I can easily be up until 3 in the morning. It is strange to me.

I love my Saturdays right now. The only thing I need to do is become a little more workout oriented. Practice makes perfect, eh ?

Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks.
