Lost and Found

There are two important things that you must know about me.

My friends would agree and have already figured these bits of information out rather quickly.

1. I hate losing things.
2. I lose everything.

It dates back to since I can remember. I remember one specific trip, I was at a Finearts Competition in D.C. in a matter of five days I managed to lose a pertinent piece of everyday necessities every morning.  Everything from my toothbrush, to books, to make up and lastly, to underwear. I was sitting in the middle of the floor my entire suitcase sprawled out and I was sitting in the mess of everything, looking so confused and perplexed. How does someone lose underwear on a trip. I had to go out and buy more. Laugh if you but it's a serious business. And random accidents like this happen more times than not.

Typically, I find everything again. One of my best friends has instituted the count to ten rule. Normally, that's all it takes and I've found it. Everything eventually turns up--almost everything at least.

The worst is when I lose something that isn't mine. Normally, this doesn't happen. I actually pride myself in not losing other peoples valuables. But today was a different case. I actually lost something rather important and have searched high and low.

I counted to 10. I have counted to 100. I have stopped thinking about it for hours at a time just to start from the beginning. I have looked everywhere it could be and couldn't be. My theory is it vanished.

Every lost anything really important ?

///edit/// Magic occurred. The missing thing has decided to be found.  Someone found it where I had looked multiple times.  Thank goodness. I can breathe easy now. ///edit///

Sounds all too familiar...and I get rather frustrated, but when I remember to calm down, I pray about it and search again and then I find it...in the strangest places usually :-/ I think I normally "misplace" rather than loose things.....
