"I just made a salad. Which is sad bc it was the last of my lettuce, I am too broke to grocery shop. I'm waiting for Lor to get here to spend any money and i have 7 days. lol"
I know what your thinking, this sounds all too familiar. Let me enlighten you some more.
"I'm sorry your so broke now," Jayde says. "Are you going to be able to eat at lunch?
Because 7 days is long."
I have...
4 pieces of bread
2 pieces of cheese,
yogurt,
2 eggs
pasta
some salmon
1 can of vegetarian chili
rice
Strawberries (that need to be eaten in the next day or two)
1 bottle of wine
4 shots of tequila
and half a bottle of vodka
(and one smirnoff ice that has been in my fridge since February because the boyfriend insisted that he needed it.)
(and one smirnoff ice that has been in my fridge since February because the boyfriend insisted that he needed it.)
I think I can do it, I can make this work.
I started laughing when I said this. I felt like I was back in college living off campus trying to figure out how to stretch what i have for as long as I can. Except now we are 3 years later. Oh, the irony. I contemplated buying some peanut butter and jam to really stretch grocery shopping. But then I have a relapse of the summer that I ate one of those everyday and 10 pounds later I decided it was time to stop. For the next week you will find me in yoga, sweating up a storm to rid myself of all the starches I will be eating.
It's a never ending cycle. One too many extracurricular things can throw a budget off completely. I'm not complaining. I'm just glad I had those college years to be creative with my food and realize that I'm far more blessed than I give credit for. One person might look at this as a tragedy while another may look at it like a feast.
Onward to seven days of creative eating and food combinations.
