open skies: bring me the sun

I leave for Africa in less than 2 months. This is crazy.  I'm really excited and feeling grown up. It's going to be weird not going back to Tulsa this summer and just working. There are a few things I'm going to miss. Lauren and Erica. Ihop. Beautiful days. My madre and skeez, probably not rosie.

In the passed three years I have missed specific weather and it's a shame because they are my favorite seasons. Tornado season is my all time fave. I think the sky is beautiful in it's overcast appearance with the right type of wind, perfect for swinging at the park. Then Fall. I did not realize I loved Fall until I moved away from it. My heart yearns for the color of the leaves changing. My fix for this has been transforming my wardrobe into the colors of leaves.

I need the creator in all circumstances.  He created the world I live and breathe in
and the people that I encounter on a regular basis. If I do not seek to understand the creator how will I ever appreciate the people whom I know are a beautiful design.
There are no mistakes that cannot be created into beauty whether that is the beauty of the buried and the broken  to the weak and weary.  Our skills become sharpened and we become lovely

I

will admit. I am a fan of the twilight movie. I was very anti-
twilight and I now have somehow grown to love and adore most things in that movie.

The past week I spent with Family of all kinds. Mine and Des', it was really good. We visited my cousin Rachel and her fiance Dustin in St. Helens. This place is awesome and a lot of the filming of twilight was filmed there. She could see filming outside her house. It was kind of fun.

And I have been praying about Africa for you! Glad you made a decision and it all worked out.
