a little get away

a retreat, if you will.

The Oregon trail.  I've seen a lot of people on the way from Lindsay Jo, to Diane, the hair stylist, to Oregon Family (Marks and Mitman.) Destination Wedding. Today's Destination: Saint Helen's, Oregon. Overlooking the harbor with mountains, trees and sailboats. Last night consisted of steak, halibut cakes and fresh green beans harvested from the garden and booze. Then an hour in the hot tub with sporadic rain while watching a family of raccoon attempting to find food.

Thanks my Oregonian family, I love you.

(I honestly should snap a few photographs but I'm just a bit lazy at the moment and that also means putting my coffee down. We all know that's not going to happen.)

///edit/// I ran out of coffee. here's a photo.

Summer, I love you

I love where I live, I took some of these photos a couple of months ago in Laguna Beach. I love the rich colors.

Today, I spent the day at the beach. I love this time of year because it's when the tourism starts to wind down and the beach becomes a deserted haven. It's you and few people spread out. All of us in our own world; some holding hands and jumping in the waves, others walking dogs, while others read, as for me, I will close my eyes and listen to the sound of the crashing waves as it coincides with my heartbeat breathing in and out. Inhale. Exhale.

Sulking- let me act like a three year old quickly

 Photobucket

I'd really like to throw myself on the ground and kick and scream to get my way just for a few moments. Maybe I can throw a tantrum in an adult fashion. Is this even possible?

Dear World,

Ever since I can remember I've been intrigued by you.

You were once flat. People use to sail on a ship and get to your edge and fall into an abyss. That theory seems to suit me better at the moment.

Now, the theory implies you are round, circular-- you are a silly globe. Which, as mentioned earlier, is circular. Circular implies infinite, never ending. Which incorporates distance.

I'm no longer intrigued by you, Mister/Miss World. In fact, I'm perturbed by you. You are more of a hindrance than anything.

For example there are 103 rivers, 30 lakes, 13 seas and four oceans.

Additionally, there is one major bay, the Hudson Bay in Canada, and one major gulf, the Gulf of Mexico in North America.

And if you do the math, that is 152 major bodies of water.

Thanks, I no longer care that I want to sail the ocean, raft the nile, etc etc...

but instead I have 10,346 miles to conquer.

I only have 2 legs and limited funds. I wasn't created with wings or anything cool like that.

My new theory, there is a portal bridge that hasn't been discovered.

I'm off to continue my Columbus mentality.

World of many wonders, If you fail me-- you and I are going to live a bitter co-existence.

Sincerely,

an angry human being
(one of the 7 billion)

long distance you can bite the dust

ps. don't even get me started on my other problems with you and the problems you've caused through time.
